Welcome to www.unleashthebats.co.uk This site has been established as a means by which the creators, owners and supporters of those who create or own copyrighted works, whether audio, visual or literary might voice and express their dissatisfaction at the wanton copyright infringement facilitated by torrent sites and the inappropriate use of peer to peer (P2P) services to transfer copyrighted works where the express permission of the copyright owner has not been granted in relation to same. Despite the "Uber cool - doing it for the kids" and "fighting the man" veneer of such sites many are founded and dependant on the very same commercial basis which they seek to undermine in relation to others copyrighted works. With that in mind we decided to "pirate the pirates". If you are in a band, if you're a singer, songwriter, producer, publisher, distributor, label or retailer this is your opportunity to fight back with a collective voice and educate the wider public by encouraging debate and informing others as to the devastating effect in real human terms which copyright infringement has had, and continues to have, on those working in, or financially dependant on, activities in the creative, production, distribution and retail sectors.
